Picasso, the painter who changed sculpture forever.
Warm-up:
We will jump right into Picasso"s process, beginning with paper cutouts. He folded, bent, and created works that most often were maquettes of larger pieces of sculptures to come. However, many were stand-alone creative explorations, as seen in the collaboration with photographer André Villers.
Begin the warm-up by choosing a simple object, i.e., a chair or a table. Imagine this as Picasso said of his chair, "It looked like a chair run over by a steam roller."
Have some fun with this idea. After this simple warmup, see where your imagination takes you in shapes and cut paper. 3D or 2D, just let go and see where you end up!
Picasso was the master of PLAY!
I can't wait to see what develops!
