I’m an author – illustrator living in the middle of Amsterdam.
Inspiration is everywhere around me.
My style is free: Fairytale-like or more stylised. The images are applicable for both adults and children.
My illustrations have been published in over a hundred books with well-known publishing companies.

Warm-up + Project
Taking visual inspiration from Jeska Verstegen’s fairytail illustrative style let’s all warm up with a self portrait!
Imagine your image, your face, your gestures, your personality and create an illustration indicative of some of your traits, visual or emotional characteristics. You may began with a black and white gestural image similar to Verstegen’s free gestural drawings she made of people on the streets of NYC.
We will continue with our portraits or move on to create illustrations of your choice.
