Wikipedia

Koons looks at art as "cries of communication". He is interested in creating a dialogue with the viewer through his art.

Warm-up + Project:

Please choose an object or objects to use as the inspiration for your artwork. This may be a childhood toy, a treasured object, an everyday object, or a found object.

Consider the element of surprise and wonder that the viewer may contemplate in viewing your work.

Consider some message or conversation you may be seeking.

Koon's pieces generally start a conversation, are controversial, perplexing, or are received as just plain fun!

Any materials may be used as you create a drawing, a painting or push into a dimensional piece.
