Craig Greene has an inherent passion for art. His paintings are a reflection of a personal journey and yet can be understood in universal themes. His current works reveal a surreal harmonious collection of paintings which are comprised of and strengthened by a palette twined with emotion and intrigue. Rooted in abstraction his art uncovers and creates a connection between the personal and sublime. There is often a duality and conflict between what it expected of things and how things are.

Design Supply

Warm-up + Project

At first glance, Craig Greene's paintings feel free and whimsical, but immediately, I was drawn to the underpaintings. I wondered what the story was behind each painting.

We will explore and create a story, a composition, an idea, an emotion, or a journey behind our figures and faces.

Let's begin by creating the underpainting, playing with materials, making marks, and maybe considering a paper-collaged background.

In addition, please take some warmup paper and play with painting and drawing your figures/faces.

Let's have some fun!
